Description

I don't think I have included this one before, probably because the scanner has chopped off a piece of the left front buffer. A cramped shot of Stanier 'Black Five' 4-6-0 No. 44806 at 'Steamport' Southport in 1981, still carrying its 'Magpie' nameplates linking it with a popular children's TV programme of the time. Note the unlined livery and '27C' on the smokebox although she was never a Southport engine.
