An array of ships

A sweep of Plymouth Sound taken in April this year, showing, from left to right, the French amphibious assault ship Dixmude, RFAs Lyme Bay and Wave Knight and the Royal Navy's 'amphibious transport dock' HMS Bulwark. The breakwater appears as a thin line behind the British ships and the breakwater fort - which looks as if it is attached to the breakwater - is actually about a quarter of a mile this side. It's quite a few years since I did my navigation training here!

Dixmude is some distance south of the breakwater.
